The Ellery woman on (and off) the catwalk is fresh faced and confident with that cool girl factor that mirrors the designer herself. Kym's wavy half top knot hair, coy smile and cats-eye sunglasses are almost as big a part of the brand's DNA as bell bottoms, waterfall tails and flared sleeves.
Ellery is currently the only Australian designer to show in the Paris Fashion Week schedule. While other designers will be presenting their Spring / Summer '15 looks this week, Ellery chose to kick off Australian Fashion Week with her Autumn / Winter '15 collection which debuted in Paris in February.
This collection plays on the dramatic silhouettes that we're used to seeing from Ellery, with those exaggerated bell bottoms that we've all come to adore and covet - Kym is attributed to bringing back the flare in a big way (in my humble opinion anyway). Ellery is all about easy to where pieces, keep it as a statement or go for some serious layering. Waterfall tails over flared pants, cropped bell-sleeved blouses over long shirts, layered over a pencil skirt or wide-legged pants (or both). And for the cherry on top of the sundae, Kym added in some gorgeous textures, including the voluminous coats in a jacquard and a wool. You could throw on any of these pieces and walk out the door feeling confident and ready to take on the world.
Bravo Kym, I can't wait to see what you do next.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to MBFWA this year, so this week I'll be crouched over my computer at work, trying to soak up every little piece of coverage I can - stay tuned.
